Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to connect to a 4G network based on a certain signal strength, and disconnect at another.

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Our devices don't have a feature like this. But there are other ways how you could tackle this issue. May I ask what device you are using?

I am using the RUT950 modem.

You can setup event report, it will send you SMS message when your signal will get low and then you can use SMS utility command to switch service mode. Although I would recommend using automatic mode as it does that automatically.

You can find more information about SMS utilities here: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/SMS_Utilities

You can find events report settings by going Status>Events Log>Events Reporting via WEBUI.

thanks, but I'm not sure how this will solve my problem.

When we are moving on the edge of 4G the data throughput will be bad, so I want to disable the connection automatically and move to a backup solution (I do this myself based on sla).

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Currently we don't have a feature like this available. You may try to create a script which would do that.

You can find more details here:
