Hello,

I have a RUT240 with the latest FW (RUT2XX_R_00.01.11.2) and from time to time the RUT240 connects to an unknown network for a very short time. (happened also with FW RUT2XX_R_00.01.11.1)

This unknown network has an exelent RSSI of around -52 dBm

This is theoretical not possible because the next LTE tower is (afaik) some kilometers away and has an RSSI of -75 dBm which is a good value

Is there a way to get more information about the unknown network ?
So maybe I can support Teletonica with some logs to fix this "issue" in generel ?

Hi,

Regarding to your issue could you try locking  your network to 4G?
Also if this doesn't solve the issue try using this feature on our router.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Hi,

What does t he Mobile widget in the Overview page indicate when this happens? (Or the Status → Network →Mobile page.)

Is Internet connection possible when this happens?

If this is happens often, could you please download the router's Troubleshoot file when the issue occurs? It can be downloaded from the System → Administration → Troubleshoot page. You can send it to me via private message.

This happend very seldom and it was too fast that I can remember details

I saw changing the RSSI bar and if I remember correct it was LTE but not connected

Checking if internet is possible is difficult because this is tha backup line (fail over)

Looks like it will be very hard to find the correct moment for the log

Shouldn't be hard. You don't have to download at that exact moment. You can downloaded after, just make sure NOT to reboot the router if it happens. Troubleshoot logs are stored in RAM which is cleared after reboot.

so I can create the log also 5 hours later ?

Yes. If the router wasn't rebooted during those 5 hours.

Hi again,

Sorry for the very late response. But I looked over your Troubleshoot and found that there are no errors with your mobile connection. I see no drops, no bad signal and all info is displayed correctly. My guess is you get the "Unknown" network type for a second when the modem is renewing the IP lease or if the modem decides to switch between a different cell or network type.
