Router does not connect to the mobile network and displays "SIM card state not inserted" on the web page.

I have inserted more than one sim card (2 sim Vodafone and 1 sim ILIAD) and with all displays the status "SIM card state not inserted".

Mobile signal strength indicator Led show 3 bars on 5 and 2g 3g 4g leds they all blink together.

Thank you

Hello,

1. Are you sure that you have inserted correct size SIM card (standard SIM card. not micro or nano) ?

2. Please be sure that SIM holder is inserted correct way. You can see how it looks while inserted:

Thank you for answer.

Absolutely yes.

In the event that I did not correctly insert the SIM it should not have signaled the three bars of the signal strength.

Hi again, signal strength is shown even if the SIM card is not inserted, because LTE module is always connected to the cell tower.

Do you got any other RUT240 at the moment ?
by
Hi,

I do not have another RUT240 at the moment because as we are evaluating the communication subsystem in a project.

This project provides multiple field devices each of which requires a 4G router.

Well if you are 100% sure that your SIM cards work in any other device and you inserted them correctly I would suggest to bring this unit to your seller for repairs.

I had a similar problem with RUT955, where the SIM was not work in slot 1, but only in slot 2.

At the end I noticed that in the "Dialing number" of the SIM 1 configuration there is a space before *99#, while in SIM 2 there is not present. I think it may depend on this, but unfortunately this item can not be changed.

My firmware revision is R_00.05.02.5.

bye bye
