Im running: RUT2XX_R_00.01.04.1

When I SSH root@192.168.1.1 from a Mac running High Sierra, it just times out.

Web access is fine.

Any ideas?

I cant work it out?

Dropbear is running:

root@Teltonika-RUT240:~# ps | grep dropbear

7738 root 1364 S grep dropbear

23193 root 1192 S /usr/sbin/dropbear -F -P /var/run/dropbear.1.pid -p 22 -K 300

Port 22 is open:

root@Teltonika-RUT240:~# netstat -l

Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:4201 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:www 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:domain 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:ssh 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

I also tested from a linux box and same problem.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Mike

Hi,

Are you sure that you did not blocked yourself with unsuccessful attempts ? You can check at System --> Administration --> Access control --> Safety.

Thanks Vilmantas1 that was the problem. Doh!

I still cant SSH in though because of 'no matching MAC found' but I will raise this as a separate issue.

Thanks

This is also most likely an easy issue. All RUT devices have updated SSH service due to the security improvements. Dropbear v2018.76

Hey Mike,

SSH could be simply disabled under the access control page:

https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT240_Administration

Have you verified if it is enabled?

Thanks,

Myky

Hi thanks MyKy for responding.

Yes I checked that and it is enabled and I am connecting from the LAN interface.
