RUTX11 keeps disconnecting

Hi All,

My RUTX11 used with this antenna https://www.quwireless.com/qumax-rutx11. 

On router start-up I get a good connection (30mbps down and 20mbps up), and my signal strength across all metrics (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Mobile_Signal_Strength_Recommendations#4G_.28LTE.29) is good to excellent. 

However, the router keeps dropping the LTE link, it doesn't drop to 3G just drops the whole mobile connection. Sometimes it comes back after 5mins plus sometimes it doesn't. anyone else experienced this?

I'm, connecting to Movistar Spain, which is consistent with the RUT955 (just really slow as is a cat 4 LTE modem). 

I have tried both firmware versions, same behavior on both.

Latest FW* RUTX_R_00.02.01.1 2020.01.15
Factory FW** RUTX_R_00.02.00.2 2019.10.11

Any one else experienced this? Or has any ideas for troubleshooting further?

I have the same issue. It looks like this section just runs in a loop. This is incredibly frustrating and rendering my RUTX11 basically useless. Note that you also have a typo for "Quering" which should be "Querying".

@Teltonika Support, please can you give me an email address that I can send the troubleshooting files. I have the same issue. I am able to recreate this on my side by merely rebooting my router. I can do this with the latest firmware on RUT955 and RUTX11. I have this issue across all three Zambian Operators Airtel, MTN and Zamtel.

I can recreate it by rebooting the router. Following reboot, no connection is made. To resolve this, I have to restart the modem. If the connection is lost during the day, then it is likely a reconnection will not be made and I will have to restart the modem again.

Hey I have seen this behaviour on other routers. Specifically RUT 955 a couple months ago, our customer used an APN from a VPN network provider. Which would have this issues going over 2 public networks provider. (separate simcards per public provider) are you using such a provider or did you manually enter your providers APN?  Sometimes your simcard get's pushed to the wrong APN.

Hello,

I can’t reproduce the issue and make more tests on this issue. Please connect to your device CLI (WebUI -> Services -> CLI). CLI is a console interface similar to the Linux Terminal program. Use the following credentials to log in:

  • Username: root
  • Password: router's password

Then launch command: logread -f

You will see real time logs are showing on your screen. Wait until issue will repeats and copy logs associated to that time. Send me that info.

The modem only goes into a reboot cycle if I add a gateway IP address to the LAN interface, If I remove the IP address the modem stays up. I am on FW  RUTX_R_00.07.02.7
