Hi,

When a connection is established to a PPTP VPN network, RUTOS adds a default route to the DNS servers received from the PPTP server.

This means that active directory/ldap will not work when it is hosed on the same ip address as the dns server.

e.g:

  1. Configure PPTP client
  2. When PPTP connects a VPN a route is added for all DNS servers received to the public WAN IP

Or in other words, when a pptp connection is made and a dns server is received for 10.0.0.55 and 10.10.250.7, a route will be added to the public WAN IP

How do I stop this?

Thanks

W

Hello,

Have you tried to specify in the end-device network configuration the IP address of the DNS server that needs to be used?
