Hi to all!
I'm using some RUT955 with firmware version RUT9XX_R_00.06.05.3 due it's reported latest firmware is not fully tested.

I use RUT955 ad backup access.
I set on all RUT955 firewall to access only from my ADSL IP (public and static) and watchdog on 8.8.8.8.
Firewall is correctly working.
I check RUT955 is online through "dude" testing TCP port (22 or 80) from my IP every about 10 minutes.
DDOS Prevention is disabled.

After some days I find RUT955 are offline from my ADSL IP (such if firewall would block me), but I can login to RUT955 through LAN.
I reboot RUT955 and it works again.

Any idea about solving this?
I can't understand if wrong configuration or bug.
Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to investigate this issue. Could you do additional tests:

  1. When issue repeats, before firewall restart, from LAN device check router’s System -> Administration -> Access Control -> Safety menu. This menu shows blocked IP addresses. Check if your ADSL IP listed there. Maybe it is block by router.
  2. When issue repeats before firewall restart try to access your router from any other device (e.g. smartphone).
  3. Download “Troubleshoot file” from your device (System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot menu) after it blocks you. Send it to me via private message.

Regards

Goodmorning,

thanks for fast reply.

1) System -> Administration -> Access Control -> Safety menu

There are no addresses blocked

2) When issue repeats before firewall restart try to access your router from any other device (e.g. smartphone).

I can't, no access from smartphone due only my static IP is allowed (if not there is a BIG bug in firewall)

Again.
I can't access to router from public IP of my office.
I had to login from LAN (192.168.81.xxx/24). I can ping my office public IP from Teltonika.
OpenVPN client on Teltonika was enabled but OpenVPN server crashed due to lightnings.
I rebooted OpenVPN server on my office (different PC), after few minutes OpenVPN client has connected to server.
Suddenly I can ping public IP address of Teltonika from my office. I don't understand why.
