Hi

Is there a way to strengthen the signal of the wifi antenna of the RUT240?  I have it in my car next to my handbrake, but the wifi signal gives very low/poor signal.

I moved the router into my appartment and the signal is still very low.  1m away and my phone is showing no bars on wifi signal indicator.

Many thanks for your support...

Hi oscalot,

If you move your phone 1m away and get no bar strengthening the signal won't help in my opinion. Make sure you mounted the antennas correctly. Has it always been like this or does this started to happen after certain event? Can you please share the RSSI level?

Also update your firmware to the latest here and give it a try after that.

I was lead to believe that this was normal for a wifi router with just one wifi antenna. As I always had it inside my car, I was surprised by the poor signal, but not bothered much as it was....inside a car.

Now that I have the RUT240 in my appartment, I am surprised by the poor signal strength. I cannot find the RSSI, so I have attached two screenshots which I hope, may help us further?

Note: The laptop obviously has a stronger antenna and can pick up the signal up to 6m inside the room to 41% (no obstructions, clear line of sight across the couch).

I have the latest firmware.

Thanks for your help. There seems to be a bad batch of RUT240's and unfortunately my unit is included. The link below clearly shows that we have the same issue.
