The default is two separate distinct SSID, e.g. RUT_XXXX_2G and RUT_XXXX_5G.

I'd like to rename to a new single SSID, and have the iOS WiFi devices automatically roam across the two based on signal strength.

Hello,

Yes, you can have both WiFi networks (2.4 and 5 Ghz) with the same SSID.

Make sure you using latest available RUTX firmware version when configuring it: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Firmware_Downloads
