Hello,

I upgrade RUT950 from  (RUT9XX_R_00.02.40  kernel 3.10.36) to the latest  RUT9XX_R_00.06.06.1 ==> kernel 3.18.44 ==>Bootloader version 3.0.1

The router works perfectly with the local operator network to provide Internet access by LAN or wifi to computers.  However,  when the router loses power (deliberate powering off or power loss) and the router is turned back on, the router no longer work to give Internet access.

Router begins to work again to give Internet access after I go through the web interface to "Restore to Factory Defaults".

I will appreciate any thoughts on this.

Best regards

Hello,

Try rewriting the firmware by unchecking Keep all settings. Latest firmware you can find here:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Firmware_Downloads

Then check if the issue recurs.

Hello Jerome,

The problematic RUT950  routers have the latest firmware loaded. I am seeing  connectivity problem.

Scenerio1:  Changing the   Service mode from say  4G Only to  3G Only, the router will have connectivity issue. It will not be able acquire a new IP address on the new service mode until the router is restored to factory reset.

Scenerio2: When the router locked on a particular service mode and working perfectly losses power or get rebooted, when the router boots up fully again,  it is not able to acquire IP address on the same service until once again the router is restored to factory reset.
