The manual states that my computers OS will recognise the USB device as virtual network and I will be able to connect. I can't find what OS exactly are supported. I'm using Mac OSx and it doesn't show up as a network. It does show up in USB list as a attached device, but nothing more:

Hi, 

Windows and many Linux distros work's like a charm. 
Unfortunately, with OSX virtual NIC does not work due missing driver from OSX side. 
Please try install driver manually: https://joshuawise.com/horndis
