As soon as I switch on the VPN client on the RUT955 I can not access the router in the LAN network. No ping no web access.

Here the ifconfig output:

I try to ping from 192.168.1.99 but no reply is send from the router.

I have only access from the WAN side.

What could be my fault.

Solved!

it look like a IP conflict with the VPN server. If I chnage the routers LAN IP to 192.168.0.1 everything works fine.

Hi,

It's great that issue got resolved, when using VPN in tunnel mode where routing is being done, it's always needed to have server and a client networks in different subnets.

If you'd like to have server and client in the same network/subnet then I'd suggest you to use OpenVPN in Bridge mode, you can find more information in our wiki configuration example.
