Hello,

Could you please check if you would encounter this issue with the latest available firmware version: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Firmware_Downloads

If with the latest available firmware you still be getting this error message, could you please let me know how I could replicate this on my side? Also please PM me a troubleshoot file (System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot) and a backup file (System -> Backup -> Backup Configuration) when the issue persist.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have seen this error several times, it was already present in version 02.01.01 but I don't have any idea how to replicate it easily.

The RUTX11 is installed at a remote location I can't take the risk of upgrading it and loosing the VPN if something goes wrong. I'll test the new version at the next opportunity.

Thank you.

Hello flebourse,

You can upgrade routers firmware with keep settings, this will keep all configuration after device upgrade. There is a couple of ways how you can remote upgrade device firmware:

- Via RMS: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/How_to_upgrade_a_router%27s_firmware_version_via_RMS%3F

- Via SMS command: fw_upgrade : https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Mobile_Utilities#FW_upgrade_from_server

Also, RMS allows you to get remote access to the device even without use of public IP address, also via RMS you can upload backup configuration files, change devices passwords and much more. More information: https://teltonika-networks.com/product/rms/

Hello Vitautas,

Yes thank you I am aware that the settings can be preserved during a firmware upgrade but not the installed packages. And unfortunately the VPN depends on several of them for now so I must be on site to do the operation. Plus another issue with dropbear/ssh I haven't been able to debug yet, requiring an external ssh/ssh-keygen implying the generation of new keys each time.

Regards,

Hello flebourse,

Regarding SSH, maybe here you will find some information which would help you to solve / understand issue? -> https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/SSH_With_Public_Key_Authentication
