Hi!

I have read alot of information and FaQs about making a OpenVPN server on rut240, but I dont think I understand everything. Is this the right steps to do it?

1. Enable OpenVPN server on rut240 with static key and copy the files to the router and my client (phone) like this: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/OpenVPN_configuration_examples#Configuration_2

2. Do a zone forwarding OpenVPN ---> VLAN (or should it be reversed like this? VLAN --- OpenVPN)?

3. Do a port forwarding 1194 WAN --- >VLAN? Or should OpenVPN be here somewhere?

4. Maybe a routing should do good here? One with WAN ---> OpenVPN and another with OpenVPN ---> VLAN?

I want it to be like this in short terms: Client ---> OpenVPN ---> VLAN ---> Blue Iris.

I appreciate all the help I can get!

Hello,

If you are using OpenVPN with a static key, to access the OpenVPN Server's private network from the Client, you should specify the network in the OpenVPN Client's configuration. On the client side, you should set „Remote network IP address and Netmask“ (Blue Iris IP address or network): https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/OpenVPN_configuration_examples#Server_from_Client

Then edit firewall zone forwarding on OpenVPN server: vpn: openvpn and lan_vlan (e.g. lan_asd):

These settings should allow you to access the VLAN through OpenVPN.

BR.

Thank you for your comment!

Setting up a OpenVPN connection was to much for me, so I actually used ZeroTier instead for this.
