Hi I have a RUT240 and the Client  L2TP parameters show do not match any examples, there is an extra Authentication box.

Can someone please tell me how to configure both the password and the authentication boxes. It is not clear how these parameters match the server L2TP

Authentication field is necessary if your server is running on any other device and has an option to add additional authentication like CHAP. If you're connecting L2TP between Teltonika devices - filling the authentication field is not needed.

Hi,

Right OK got it, so if I connect to my RUTX08 don't bother entering anything. If I try and connect to my Vigor2850  enter the authentication type like PAP, CHAP etc?

Yes, if it's RUTX08 you can skip it, but if you have additional authentications running on server side you would need to write down the authenticating value.
