Hi all,

I have just installed a Poynting PUCK-5 antenna on my caravan roof and am getting a worse mobile signal than I do with the standard aerials.  Is there anything that I need to configure on my RUT950 when using an external antenna please?

Hi,

There's no additional configuration needed for antennas. It should be plug & play. Make sure the antenna meets THESE requirements, also upgrade your firmware to the latest if you haven't.

Hi,

Might it be that you accidentally mismatched the connectors? RUT950 mobile antenna should be with SMA connector, and WiFi should be RP-SMA. RP-SMA and SMA connectors are very similar-looking, but they are different, so that may be the cause your antenna doesn't work.
