I'm trying to reach my router on two different IP addresses 192.168.1.1 and 172.16.1.1.
Tried to do this via an IP Alias on my router but this is only working for a few seconds. I add the alias, press save and then the routers web gui will respond for like 30 seconds on the alias just created. After that it's just not responding anymore.

Any idea what's going wrong here? Do I need to create some aditional firewall rules to get this to work?

I'm running the latest firmware version on my router. RUT9XX_R_00.06.06.1

Hi,

Could you give me the step-by-step instructions on how you did the configuration so I could repeat the issue?

EB.

Hi, ErnestasB,

I just did a factory reset and now the IP alias is working fine. Think it was just a bug.
Thanks for your help.
