Dear all,

I would like to ask for help with requesting signal strength via SNMP from TRB140 fw TRB1_R_00.02.04.1.

Regarding wiki this signal oid could be .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.4.0 but it does not work:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c rocommunity 10.1.10.228 .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.4.0
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.48690.2.4.0 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

MIB browser found .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12 but it does not work too:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c rocommunity 10.1.10.228 .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.48690.2.2.1.12 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID

Generaly I can say that snmp "mobile" directory (.1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2) return less values than MIB browser or wiki offers.

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Could you please tell me what kind of signal you're looking for?

If it's a mobile signal then you should use this OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12

Hi,

sorry for missing detail.

I was trying to get mobile/GSM signal strength as wiki describes:

Signal.0 .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.4.0 Signal strength level

Try to use my provided OID after you've injected the MIB file. Come back to me with the results you got.

Thank you.

Excuse my overlooking. Unfortunatelly is result still same:

snmpwalk:

snmpwalk -nn -v 2c -c rocommunity 10.1.10.228   .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.48690.2.2.1.12 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID

tcpdump:

What is the software you're using to get values from SNMP? Please provide a name and a link where you downloaded it.

Thank you.

Excuse me I'm not sure which software do you think?

If you mean snmpwalk it is a standard linux package provided by net-snmp-utils http://www.net-snmp.org/.

Thank you, could you do just a simple SNMPWalk and go through all the values? You need to find .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12 OID. Just take a screenshot of the output where that OID should appear or appeared and post it here.

Also, before doing that you can try executing these commands in CLI: killall snmpd  and then snmpd

It will kill SNMP service and request it again, check if that changes anything for you.

Thank you, after restarting snmpd it looks completely different and OID is available and working:

snmpwalk -O fn -v 2c -c radionet 10.1.10.228   .1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12.1
.1.3.6.1.4.1.48690.2.2.1.12.1 = STRING: "-81

But how to fix that permanently? Is it necessary to forward it for RnD?

before cmd "killall snmpd"after cmd "snmpd"

It's a bug, it is already reported to RnD and a fix will come with a next firmware update.
