Hello

I would like to ask if the following is possible with RUTX11.

Scenario 1

Can I assign different IP address to each LAN port?

  • LAN1: 10.10.10.8
  • LAN2: 192.168.20.30
  • LAN3: 10.50.50.60

If this is possible

  • Can any computer on any LAN port reach the Internet via mobile internet if the gateway for that computer is set to 10.10.10.8 or 192.168.20.30 or 10.50.50.60?
  • Can I use the SMS gateway http get functions from any LAN port? http://(10.10.10.8 or 192.168.20.30 or 10.50.50.60)/cgi-bin /sms_read?username=admin&password=admin01&number=1
  • Can I SSH to the router using any of the LAN ports?

Scenario 2

Can I assign different network to each LAN port?

  • LAN1: 10.10.10.1/24 - DHCP on
  • LAN2: 192.168.20. 1/24 - DHCP off
  • LAN3: 10.50.50. 1/24 - DHCP on

If this is possible

  • Can any computer on any LAN port reach the Internet via mobile internet?
  • Can computers on different LANs send data to each other, eg.: computer on LAN1 send data to computer on LAN2?
  • Can I use the SMS gateway http get functions from any LAN port? http://(10.10.10.1 or 192.168.20.1 or 10.50.50.1)/cgi-bin/sms_read?username=admin&password=admin01&number=1
  • Can I SSH to the router using any of the LAN ports?

Which of the above is possible?

If it's possible is it configurable on the web interface or CLI only?

Thank you

Hello,

Scenario 1

Yes, it's possible to assign a different IP address to each LAN port. You can reach the internet via the mobile interface when the computer has 10.10.10.8, 192.168.20.30, or 10.50.50.60. Also, you can use SMS gateway, HTTP post/get functionality and you can connect to router via SSH from any LAN port.

Scenario 2

Yes, it's possible to assign a different network to each LAN port. Computers connected to a LAN with DHCP off will not be able to access the Internet. Computers on different LANs can send data to each other. This requires to configure zone forwarding in Firewall. Also, you can use SMS gateway, HTTP post/get functionality and you can connect to router via SSH from any LAN port.

You can configure via WebUI and CLI.

I would like to ask if these configurations can be done in a RUT955.

Thank you!
