Is anyone able to send SMS messages to the RUT955 with AT&T service? I was told by AT&T that the IMEI of the RUT955 is for data only plans and that SMS service could not be activated.

If this is true are there any work arounds? I'm trying to remotely control the Outputs

If it isn't true can you share any details of the service plan your on?

Hello,

The SMS cannot be sent because, as AT&T mentioned, their card will only allow you to access the Internet on the router. Our router is certified for data plan only:

In this case, the only option is to connect to the router WebUI and manually manage the Outputs. This requires Public IP.

Hi.

Normally to be able access the WebUI remotely to apply configurations and set parameters you need one of the 3 following characteristics:

-RMS

-Public IP in the Simcard

-VPN

If they don't have/want the first 2 methods. There is the option to use Zerotier VPN, which is a very very easy-to-setup VPN. they don't need a server nor Public IP
