Good morning, I am doing a configuration of the WAN connection mode, occupying the cabling as the main one and the Mobile as secondary. I have the problem that when the vehicle is out it works with the 4g but when it reaches its destination a router assigns the IP address to the Rut240 and it accepts the IP address that is by DHCP and an IP is assigned by the mac address. but although in the view it appears that if it is taking the IP address it does not change from mobile to wired.

I have the latest firmware version

RUT2XX_R_00.01.12.3

I have the log file.

Hello,

Regarding the issue you are having could you send me a copy of the troubleshoot file for this?
Also i would like you to clarify your issue is when the Wired Network is available the RUT240 doesn't return to the wired connection
and stays on the Mobile network is this right?

Thank you and have a nice day!

Jerome

Thanks for your attention, that's right, when it connects through the wired network it does not leave the Mobile network, and the router assigns it an IP for DHCP

We have 180 teams of the rut240, and the ones we have tested have given us this detail.

first of all, Thanks

Hello,

I tried replicating the issue you are having on my side but i wasn't able to replicate the problem you are having. I have tested with RUT240 that is on my side, without changing the configuration of the Network > WAN settings for as the default configuration of the RUT240 where the MAIN WAN is set to Wired and the failover is set to Mobile WAN. And it works perfectly without any issues. When the Wired Network is not having network connectivity it is automatically switching to the Mobile Network but when the Wired Network is up it automatically returning back to Wired.

I have also made a small recording of the test I made kindly check this link for the video clip: https://we.tl/t-W41wYI502h

No configurations made on my side nor any changes. I just re-flashed my RUT240 to the latest firmware without keeping the settings with the available on this link: Firmware Wiki

Based on your troubleshoot file there is nothing special i am guessing you took the troubleshoot file when the router was first booted up. Also the LAN IP address you set to the router is 192.168.2.1 which is used for hotspot feature.

So my suggestion are:
1. Change the LAN IP address other than 192.168.2.0 network, try changing it to 192.168.10.X  or higher.
2. Try to re-flash the firmware again without keeping the settings to prevent issues with the device.
3. If you are able to replicate the test that i made with my RUT240 it would really help :)
CLI command for monitoring the logs is: logread -f

If your issue still persist kindly get the troubleshoot file of the router you have tested without turning it off or rebooting the router so that all the information will be retained.

Hope it helps

Thank you and have a nice day!

Jerome
