Hi Folks,  I have not yet purchased an RUT955 and before I do I wanted to make sure that this product does not implement SIP-ALG.  I want to use the RUT955 as broadband link for my office which has 3CX PBX.  The PBX does not operate behind router with SIP-ALG enabled in it.  Can anyone confirm that there is no SIP-ALG in this product?  TIA.

Hi,

As our routers based on OpenWRT - it does not have it.

We do have helpers though, which could make your system show that it has SIP-ALG enabled. But those can be disabled or even removed with simple commands. So no worries there.

I am having issues with SIP. The conntrack netfilter is dropping SIP packets.

[  321.741365] nf_ct_sip: dropping packet: all ports in use for SDP media IN= OUT= SRC=10.13.179.* DST=77.240.*.* LEN=968 TOS=0x08 PREC=0x60 TTL=63 ID=15651 PROTO=UDP SPT=6061 DPT=5060 LEN=948

What is the command to disable this helper, and also to re-enable it in case I need to?

Seems I only have 2 'nathelper' packages:

root@network:~# opkg list-installed | grep nathelper
kmod-nf-nathelper - 5.4.147-1
kmod-nf-nathelper-extra - 5.4.147-1

Shall I remove kmod-nf-nathelper-extra to get rid of this sip helper?

PS looks like in this version, extra includes the h323 & sip helper (https://openwrt.org/packages/pkgdata/kmod-nf-nathelper-extra)
