Hello.

I'am absolutely not an electricity specialist and am not sure to understand what relay is designed for.

I've a RUT955 with 2 devices/sensors connected, with RS232 and RS485.
Currently, the RUT and the 2 devices are powered with solar power, 12 VDC.

I would like to power on and off the 2 sensors remotely.
Is it possible to power the 2 devices by the RUT955 through the output relay?
How should I connect/power the devices and is it ok in 12 VDC (how can i "set" the power output on the Teltonika: i read 0-24 VDC)

I'm hope I'm understandable!

Best regards and thanks

Hello,

Regarding the solution you want to implement I would like to know if the RS232 and RS485 sensors is powered separately by their own power supply. Also are you going to power on and off both RS232 and RS485 sensors at the same time?

Kindly visit this link for sample tests regarding the Input/Output of RUT device: https://we.tl/t-IbP1b74wbJ

It may give you some idea :)

Hope it helps

Hello.

Thanks very much for the reply, I'll analyze your document.

At this time, both sensors are powered by solar power 12V directly (both on same power source).

Both sensors can be powered on or off at the same thime, so that a unique "switch" can be used, yes.

Hello,

You can use the method use in the document provided turning on and off the LED.

Example title is: Controling LED via relay output configuration example

What you would do since every sensor is connected to the same power source. Connect one wire from the ground of the Main electricity source to the PIN 10 of Input/Output of RUT955 then put a wire on PIN 5 that will be connected to the VCC Ground (-)  of the said sensors. While the VCC (+) will be from Main Source directly to the 2 sensors.

The LED representation will be your sensor.

I hope it helps
