We're going to be putting in some RUT240 routers as customer facing WiFi, however we'd like to restrict access to everything apart from a few different webpages.

I know we can do that via the allow / block list for the websites, but is there a way we can control app data to stop users streaming youtube via the app?  Also things like software updates for mobile devices?

Thanks

Hello,

You could block Youtube and other applications by using classification rules (Services > QoS). You will need to know what port certain application use for it services (For example youtube use TCP 1935 for streaming services).

More about classification rules: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_QoS

Regards.
