Hi, i have a device (for instance flowmeter) with rs-485 interface (modbus rtu). I need to read 2-3 values from this device via RUT240's modbus functions. Modbus tcp master is a SCADA software on remote site. Is it possible?

Thanks,

Hello,

Could you elaborate more about your setup? Correct me if I am wrong, but I understood that your device (flowmeter) is connected to SCADA terminal which works as TCP master right now and you want to read data from SCADA using router?

[Flowmeter (any device with modbus rtu)][RS485] --- [RUT240 (modbus tcp slave)] -- tcp (gsm) network --- SOFTWARE [at remote site, modbus tcp master]

For instance i will track to values from device (1- flow at the moment litre/second, 2- total m3)

If you configure your RUT240 as TCP slave, you can only read router information: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Monitoring_via_Modbus

So to answer you question in short, you cannot monitor your device like this, because the only information your TCP master will receive is about router.
