Hmmm....disappointing. I've had a RUT950 for a few years and kept getting frustrated with the modem sitting at "Disconnected" and not connecting. So this week I have purchased a new RUTx09.

Today I lost all internet access, but the router status page showed connected! Clearly it was not. So I chose to restart the modem (not router) and got connectivity again.

I thought this kit was supposed to be rock-solid robust???

Hello,

Could you tell us what firmware version you are using? Also, please describe your mobile configuration (APN, bands, add screenshots).

Regards.

Firmware: RUTX_R_00.02.04.3

Modem: EG06ELAR04A03M4G

Mobile configuration is default values. Single SIM card in SIM1

Service mode Auto

Band selection Auto

Connection mode Auto

Many thanks

Jim

I highly recommend using custom APN configuration (you can find your service provider APN on the internet or contact them directly to provide you with one). Also, you could set manual band selection to improve your connection. Refer to this site: https://www.frequencycheck.com/ to check your operator supported bands and select them in router settings.

Another suggestion to prevent you from losing connection for longer periods of time is to configure auto-reboot settings. Once you lose connection, the router could automatically reboot your modem after a set time interval. https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX09_Auto_Reboot

Thanks VykintasKuzma. I am in the UK on EE and will try using "everywhere" with the APN.

That doesn't answer the question of why the GUI showed "connected" though.

Thanks for the tip on the auto-reboot, I will do that.

It is hard to answer that question right now. If the issue repeats itself, please send me your router troubleshoot file via private message. I will investigate router logs.
