I'm currently setting up a RUT955 with firmware 06.06.1 and run into two issues:

  • If GPS (time) synchronization is enabled, the local system time is set to UTC and doesn't consider the configured timezone
  • Using SSL/TLS for connecting to a SMTP relay requires the SMTP relay to support TLSv1. TLSv1 and TLSv1.1 both have some security issues and TLSv1.3 is recommended
Is there any work-around available or some chance this will get fixed short term?
Thanks
Ralf

Hello,

I suggest installing the latest firmware version (RUT9XX_R_00.06.07). There is some fixed included to GPS time synchronization. Let me know if the issue persists after the upgrade.

Regarding your question about SMTP relay protocol version, unfortunately right now there are no plans for few future releases to upgrade it.

Best regards.
