I would like to rename the SSIDs on my RUTX12 to be the same for both 2.4 GHz and 5Ghz. I know this is possible.

My question is, does RUTX12 support Band Steering in such a way that 5Ghz capable clients will connect to 5Ghz SSID?

Otherwise, the risk is that given the longer range, client will be prone to connect to the 2.4Ghz first

Hi,

For now, there's no such functionality, in this case, I would suggest looking into how to do this from your client devices.
