Question

Just bought the RUT240, but very disappointed with the download speed.

0,5 Mbit/s with the RUT240.

10 Mbit/s with the same SIM-card when I use Netgear AirCard C790S. Same place in the room.

Netgear is connected via WiFi, and RUT240 via LAN cable.

Read others having the same problem, but no real solution that seams to work? How can it perform so much worse with the two included large antennas?

The 4G is blinking on the RUT240.

Please help or I have to return it!

Hello,

First of all, please reflash your firmware via the bootloader menu, to wipe your router clean from any incorrect configuration files and etc. To do that please follow this link and upgrade to the latest firmware version (RUT2XX_R_00.01.13):  https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT2xx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu

Secondly, please always use manual APN settings in the RUT device instead of auto. To set it to manual navigate Network > Mobile (refer to my example):

Also, you could force the router to use specific network operator bands under Network > Mobile > Network Frequency Bands tab. Please select only ones that your SIM provider uses:
