Hello..

Im trying to set up a rule on my RUTX09 where i need to accept a connection from a specific single public IP address and forward it to a single device in my LAN.

From what i can see in the firewall section under 'port forwarding' is that you can only accept a connection and forward this to a device on the lan, but that rule does not allow you to specify the ip address to accept from.

I can see when you 'save' a rule, and then edit it, you get more options. which is great...but you the have two fields, one called 'source ip address' and one called 'external ip address' im not sure which is the correct one to use?

Any help....sorry, im still learning this this router nd this may be a silly question....

Hi,

The correct field to match the incoming IP addresses is the Source IP address field.
