Hello,

I would like to use the RUT955 to build a VPN access trough mobile data (with 4g SIM card), this VPN will be used to connect with different devices on the LAN from our Swisscom box.

I had made multiple attempts, but I don't success to make this connection, is it possible?

Hello,

First of all, which VPN do you want to use? There are many options like L2TP, IPsec, OpenVPN, and more. So let me know about that.

Regards.

Thanks for your answer

I have tried L2TP/IPsec and OpenVPN, but the second need a client soft, and i'm not admin on my laptop, so I would like to use L2TP/IPsec in order to use directly with the VPN built-in of Windows 10.

Please refer to this instruction carefully to configure L2TP over IPsec server on RUT devices: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/L2TP_over_IPsec

Thanks you, I have tried the first link yesterday, but this is not functional. I could maybe try again, but can you tell me if the VPN services function on mobile data? My RUT will be not never connected to a wired WAN network

Yes, VPN tunnel can be made using router mobile connection.

Thanks you for your answers, I have understood my problem, in effect, my SIM card doesn't have a public IP address which can be reachable from the internet, so can't make this...

A big thanks to you and have a nice day
