Question

I am evaluating these products for including to our infrastructure.
Both devices should do fine according to specifications.

It seems that their firmware are living a separate life according to the changlog:

What is the reason behind this? I was expecting them to run very similar firmwares.
Our top priorities are stable internet access and long time support. Which version do you recommend?

What are the real differences?

Hello,

They're both very different and alike at the same time. To this day they both run stable firmware and modem, the only difference is hardware capabilities. According to your priorities, I would suggest picking RUT950, its CPU is a little bit faster and it has more RAM. Software more or less is alike.
