Similar problem as in this topic: https://community.teltonika-networks.com/18237/rutx11-not-returning-to-wan-after-mobile-failover
I followed this topic and installed firmware RUTX_R_00.02.05.1 but the problem remains.

So when the WAN fails and all connections go to mobile that works, but when the WAN connection is restored not all connections are moved to WAN.

Today I had this problem again. Even after a restart of the modem there still was data usage on the mobile connection. However, I don't know from what device this data was coming. I don't know how to troubleshoot this correctly.

Hello,

For the issue you are having it is best to re-flash the firmware to the latest available one without keeping the settings

You can find the latest firmware on this link here:  https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX09_Firmware_Downloads

If issue still persist give me a copy of the troubleshoot file of the said device.

Jerome

Ok, it took a bit longer to respond but I have an update.

I've re-flashed the firmware without keeping the settings and was ready for testing. However that time didn't came soon.

But today I had a WAN failover event. WAN1 to MOB1S1A1. A minute later the connection went back to WAN1. Most of the clients returned to the internet on WAN1, but I still had data on MOB1S1A1.

When I noticed this was happening I've restarted the modem and you see that the data went back to normal. I would like to give you more info, but I really don't know how to troubleshoot this.

Hello,

The best way to test the scenario is like this. Connect 1 Laptop or PC to the RUTX09, connect everything as it should be. Then go to this link: https://icanhazip.com you will be able to see the IP address of your wired network. Then now try unplugging the Wired WAN cable and visit the link again. You will be receiving a different IP address, after that verification visit the link again you should be acquiring the Wired WAN IP address. This is to make sure that the device is using Mobile WAN as back and Wired WAN as main.

Let me know if something is wrong :)

The failover itself is working so no problems there. And if I just connect 1 device the connection goes back to WAN1 correctly.

But I have an entire network on the router. So if there is a WAN Failover and it restores to the WAN1, one (ore more) devices keep running on the mobile network. There are to many devices in the network to check them individually. Perhaps there is a way to determine what device is still working on the mobile connection?

The problem however remains, not all connections go back to WAN1 when it is restored. I really need to restart the mobile modem each time a WAN Failover occurred to make sure all devices are on WAN1.

To find out which devices use the modem, you can do a tcpdump from a cli or ssh console on the RUTX09:

tcpdump -i qmimux0 -n -v

You'll be able to see who is talking.

Hello,

Regarding this issue of yours could you try enabling the flush connection options.

You can configure it in Network > Failover > Edit the failover rule for each. And try to check if it solved. Make sure you are using the latest firmware for the device.

Latest Firmware: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/wikibase/images/e/ea/RUTX_R_00.02.06_WEBUI.bin
