My setup is a RUT955 with mobile internet(simcard).

I have a LAN network(RUT955 is connected to this network) that consists of few unmanaged switches and 20 devices.

What I need to do is to allow only one device on the LAN network to get Internet access. This device only should share the physical layer connection but traffic needs to be separated from rest of the LAN.

I cannot use MAC filtering because it is not secure enough . I cannot use VLANs because I have unmanaged switches in the LAN.

Was thinking about making a VPN connection in the LAN using another RUT955 device. Is it possible for RUT955 to listen for incoming VPN connection on the LAN ports?

I need some way to segment my LAN.

Is there any better way to do this? Or is the solution I suggested possible ?

/Thanks

Hello

I think the optimal solution would be to use port-based VLANs without using tagged traffic. Port based VLAN is a method to create separate LAN networks on different LAN ports.
