I have a RUT240 and suspect the NAT table to limit my possibility to use WireGuard whenever a new external IP is set to my router.

Now it is unreachable. Is there a lifetime of the NAT table ?

Hi,

For testing purpose, you can disable the firewall at all using /etc/init.d/firewall stop  in your CLI.

Once you discard if the firewall is blocking your connection, you can see the traffic rules and firewall rules to check if some permission is needed.

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Firewall#Traffic_Rules

Remember to restart your device or start the firewall again.

Regards.

So help me here. If there is a faulty pre or postrouting being done in the NAT table. Will disabling the firewall remove the pre and postrouting ?

Hi,

Yes, RUT240 firewall is based on iptables service. --> https://openwrt.org/packages/pkgdata/iptables

If you disable the firewall at all, you'll have a "clean" traffic. You can do your tests without firewall to discard it can be the issue.

If so, you'll need to set up your firewall according to your needing as well.

Regards.
