Hello - I have a RUT240 and we get power cuts every few months where I live. Every time this happens, and the power comes back on, the RUT240 stops working doesn’t provide an internet connection, despite displaying a strong signal on mobile devices and my laptop. When I try and access the UI (192.168.1.1) it takes me several hours of turning the machine on and off, resetting it and removing and reinserting the SIM card before eventually I can connect to the server. I keep being told the connection has timed out. Please can you help me connect to the router’s web interface quickly so I can get on with my day. Thanks.

I'm struggling to connect to http://192.168.1.1/ from a PC and an iPhone - it states cannot connect to Server?  Was fine the other day, just suddenly stopped working?  Also, i don't have a ethernet connection on my lap-top, is there  another cable which can go Ethernet to HDMI?

Hello,

Please try to flash the latest firmware image to your RUT240 using the bootloader menu. Follow this link for the instructions: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT2xx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu

Once you complete this, please monitor if the router behavior changes and us know of the results.

Best regards.

Many thanks - this appears to be an instruction  for a PC. Do you have instructions how to do this on a Mac? Cheers

We do not have instructions for Mac devices, but all of these  Windows PC instructions do apply for Mac devices too. You just need to find out how to set your network adapter static IP address. Simple google query will provide you with all the steps you need.

Hello again - I have reset the device as per the instructions  (pressing the reset button for 4 seconds whilst and then after turning the power back on). I am getting the flashing LAN lights as stated, but the device is no longer discoverable on my laptop. I obviously cannot access the router’s interface if the router itself is not visible. Please advise. Many thanks.

Good morning,

Have you set your network adapter to have static IP: 192.168.1.X, netmask: 255.255.255.0 and gateway:192.168.1.1? Also, when router is in that state it is reachable using 192.168.1.1/index.html link.

Regards.
