Hello,

Is the TRB142 gateway capable of sending a specific message immediately after a TCP connection

Exemple :

  1. Connection
  2. Connected
  3. Send message "Hello I'm Device XXXX"
  4. Send Rs232 messages in real time

Thank You

Hello,

TRB142 and other our devices do not send any data automatically like connection status or its name. To get that information you should set up TRB142 as Modbus TCP slave(https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/TRB142_Monitoring_via_Modbus) or MQTT publisher(https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Monitoring_via_MQTT). Also, you can get this information by sending SMS messages to the gateway. Could you elaborate about RS232 messages in real-time part, maybe provide a use case.

Best regards.

Thanks, but if you have 10 devices communicating at the same time on a TCP port, then there is no way to know who is sending us a message?

It seems essential, doesn't it?

Do you have any advice to answer the following problem: How do I know who is sending me a message without having to use MQTT and install components on the modem like simulate a modbus, etc...?

In your case, if it is just simple TCP requests then you can only manage your devices by IP addresses.
