Hi,

Please reset your router to default factory settings and then update to latest firmware available (06.07.4).

Make sure firmware was updated fresh and not with the saved settings.

Strange answer ...

Does it mean the problem is known and corriged in the latest firmware?

Is it possible to debug ?

We usually ask people to update the firmware of the device as it will show if the issue still persists in the latest update. If you're on earlier version it is really hard to tell if the issue you're facing was or wasn't fixed.

Please update your firmware in the way I explained and come back with the feedback.

I don't want to upgrade my firmware because the device is at 200km ! I don't want to take the risk to lost the ip communication.

Here is a copy of the logread when I send an sms:

I understand your concern, but even if we'll find the issue in the firmware you're currently using, fix for it would come in the form of another, newer firmware so in any case this would force you to update the device.

I am patient: if I must upgrade, I will do it not before the Spring !

What does it mean ?

Wed Jan  6 13:35:30 2021 local1.info gsmd[6847]: gsmd get: '+CMS ERROR: 350' (15)

Most commonly it's known to be caused by:

1. Operator rejecting something that Pre-paid SIM card shouldn't do when running out of credit.

2. SMS sent to specific unique number that is rejecting SMS.

3. SMS being not the one that the number expects.

4. Modem firmware not up to date.

Thank you for your comment. I guess my problem is between points 1 to 3

Do you have method(s) to eliminate some hypothesis ?

I tried the function SMS Management > Send SMS;

The result is timeout and reregister.sh forcing LTE mode, netifd ppp teardown ppp

Data link down during 2 minutes

=> I suspect that the operator rejects sms sending with the selected bundle

That was the good hypothesis !

I've work a lot for understand this problem and found a solution.

Sms are sent through LTE when you are on 4g network.

You need to check the correct Apn for your operator and set it into section interface of the Gui.

Not all Apn allow to send Sms.

It is not enough that you are able to connect to internet.

Before set it, the problem was on this parameter that you can check only by CLI

>uci show simcard

Check parameter force_apn.

It must to be set as '-1'

It is not present into the gui but it very important and also sometimes this setting will be lost when you update firmware.

Set this by this command

>uci set simcard.@sim[0].force_apn='-1'

>uci commit

Then reboot

Check the apn and set it correctly into the interface section and everything will works good.

You can offer to me a beer laugh
