Hi,

I am trying to connect the TRB245 device to the Cumulocity cloud management system according to the steps in the link:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Cumulocity_Configuration

Although I follow every step in the same way, I constantly get a waiting for connection error.

Do I need to do anything different than the steps shown on the link? Similarly, I tried to connect ThingsBoard IoT platform for TRB245 in the link I shared below:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Monitoring_with_ThingsBoard_IoT_Platform

I could not provide any link. What source of the problem?

Hi,

Have you made sure that when it told you to enter Device ID - you've entered a serial number of your router?

If yes, it could be other issues like:

1. Check your internet connection, can you ping 8.8.8.8 from the routers CLI?

2. When configuring Cumulocity did you write the server address? It must the address that is in your Cumulocity profile url.

3. Have you updated your router to the latest firmware version?

I'm entering the serial number, I have no problem with it. I can ping 8.8.8.8 from the routers CLI and I have update my router to the lates firmware version. Is it where I showed you in the picture you mentioned in step2?

İf yes, I've done it before.

I think the problem is different because I am not getting a result in other cloud solution.

I tried to connect ThingsBoard IoT platform for TRB245 in the link I shared below:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Monitoring_with_ThingsBoard_IoT_Platform

Is there a different configuration I should apply for the device other than the ones mentioned here?

Hi,

teltonika-networks... URL that you've entered is a placeholder where you should enter your own profile URL. It should be the link that you get when you're in Cumulocity device management, check your browser's URL and enter the same address into the Server Address field.

I did what you mentioned before, but after you said it, I checked it again. I even checked everything. The result is still the same.

Is there any other configuration I should do other than the ones mentioned in the link? Could it be related to WAN settings?

I observed one more problem. While configuring Cumulocity, mob1s1a1 is selected in the 'Mobile Interface' section.

When I look at the mob1s1a1 state, there is no value.

Could the problem be caused by here? How can I fix this situation?

Yes, that could be the problem as your modem is down and not active. As cumulocity is a management platform integrated for mobile functions and gsm values to control - only with mobile modem active it will work.

Yes, the problem probably stems from here. I have looked at this page to fix this problem.

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/wikibase/index.php?title=TRB245_WAN&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop

I made the recommended setting. Are there any configurations I need to fix other than those mentioned on the page? Although I made the settings on the page, there was no change in the status of mob1s1a1. Do you have an opinion on this matter?

Were you able to establish connection with your operator at some point earlier? Have you used Wired WAN or Mobile connection to this date?

The first step to troubleshoot this would be looking if you have SIM inserted correctly, APN set according to the operator instructions, and antennas attached tightly.

Please let me know how it handles out.

I think I inserted the sim card correctly. I can send SMS but I have a question on my mind.

If you examine the picture , I can say that the Data Connection statement is  always disconnected.

Rechecked the antennas but I did not encounter any problems.

What might I need to do after these steps?

Could it be due to the problem I mentioned and how can I solve this problem?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

AE.

Hi, you would need to enter APN in the Custom field.

Go to Network > Interfaces, edit your mobile interface and switch off Auto APN, in APN dropdown menu choose Custom and write your APN there.
