Hi

Since 27 December 2020, my RUTX11 FW2.05.2 totally loose the configuration and resets to factory defaults at every reboot.

Restoring configuration doesn't seems to work, because it says that the firmware doesn't match with the backup. But the backup has been done with that firmware.

Can you help me figuring it out?

Must i return my Rutx11?

Hi,

First of all, try updating your device up to 2.6, it's the latest firmware available right now.

You can do it by clicking on the firmware version on the top right corner of WebUI and you will be redirected to the Firmware Update page of the WebUI. Select to NOT keep the settings and download firmware from the server (or you can download the file from https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Firmware_Downloads).

If the issue persists after firmware update without kept settings - let me know.

Thank you EB.

With the new firmware 2.6, the reset problem disappeared.

The restore issue was instead related to the file extension. On Safari, the downloaded backup has extension .tar and not .tar.gz

This prevented the backup to be restored. Used Chrome and all went fine. Should it be possible to write a warning in the restore page, to be sure the backup is .tar.gz ?

Thanks.

Hi,

Glad you have sorted your issue out. I think yes, the warning seems to be a good idea for further issues of the same sort. I will do my best so it appears there.

Thank you.

EB.
