Hi

The system i want to control with a TRB1412 only exposes RS232_TX and _RX. No CTS or RTS signals. Will the TRB1412 still transfer data in both directions to the system connected on the other side?

Hi,

CTS/RTS only allows you to have a flow control. Some of the newer equipment does not even need CTS/RTS so they tend to skip the handshake part and communicate through RX/TX. But if your system supports other flow control like Xon/Xoff, you can use that instead of CTS/RTS.
