Hi,

If there's a telnet server running in your LAN - simple telnet host_ip port should work.

yes there is.

I can can ping the address where that server is, but it's not letting me connect using port 23.

Could this because a firewall or routing rule on the RUT240 ?

Could you try connecting through Putty software?

I have 2 computers on the RUT240's LAN.

I can ssh between them using putty, but not telnet.

I meant can you use telnet on Putty.
