Hello,

We are using the RUTX09 to supply an industrial LAN for two endpoints, iPad and a Automatcion PLC running Win 10 for embedded systems (PLC from Beckhoff) everything is connected with CAT6 Ethernet one wire to each. We also have a sim card to provide internet connection. Ipad relies only on this LAN/Mobile connection and has local disabled connection (flight mode)

Ipad gets IP, PLC gets IP all seems to work good, however pinging the iPad from the PLC frequently exposes disconnects over the LAN, every now and then, maybe every 60 seconds, sometimes not so often sometime a lot more.

We have set a static lease to the PLC 192.168.0.10 and the iPad gets a DHCP IP.

We experience dropouts all the time and this affects the uptime and controllable from the UI in the iPad to the PLC, basically we get timeouts sometime.

This is critical ofcourse and I do not expect a ethernet LAN this small with high quality router to drop connections like this

I have downloaded the troubleshoot file, there are a LOT of errors from dropped packets to drivers not loading etc. ?

The event log shows things like

Switch event 1000 MBIT

IP Block

IP Denied

etc

no blacklist can be found (it is empty)

This is frustrating please help asap

I have created a TCP dumpfile from both a working car where these error are not present and this one where I have problems. I have filtered on the ICMP and locate pings to 192.168.0.1 (router) from 192.168.0.10 Win 10, nothing else connected.

I can see talat the car with problems have constant unreachable UDP port when ping, along with many that works.

On the car where we have no problems there are no unreachable at all.

I am unable to attach dump files but essentially:

18:55:16.951113 IP 192.168.0.10 > 192.168.0.1: ICMP echo request, id 256, seq 9197, length 40

18:55:16.951249 IP 192.168.0.1 > 192.168.0.10: ICMP echo reply, id 256, seq 9197, length 40

18:55:17.922436 IP 192.168.0.10 > 192.168.0.1: ICMP 192.168.0.10 udp port 61194 unreachable, length 217

18:55:17.953224 IP 192.168.0.10 > 192.168.0.1: ICMP echo request, id 256, seq 9198, length 40

18:55:19.957399 IP 192.168.0.10 > 192.168.0.1: ICMP echo request, id 256, seq 9200, length 40

18:55:19.957538 IP 192.168.0.1 > 192.168.0.10: ICMP echo reply, id 256, seq 9200, length 40

which is not found in the working setup

Hello,

I would like to ask, which firmware version you are using on your RUTX09? If it is not the latest: RUTX_R_00.02.06, please install it on your device.

Also, do it without keeping any settings in your device or even better via the bootloader menu. Follow these instructions: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTXxx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu

Once you reinstall your device, please configure it as before and test if the issue is solved. If it still plagues your router, please download troubleshoot file from System > Administration > Troubleshoot and send it to me via private message.

Best regards.

Hi

We have the latest firmware already, do you want me to "reinstall" the firmware somehow?

Also I have a also the troubleshoot files already.

To be able to send you private message, how do I do that? In your profile? And I guess I have to register in your "login" top right correct?

Yes, I would like you to reinstall the firmware via the bootloader menu, the link is in the answer above. To send me a private message, you will need to create an account in this forum. Then click on my username to redirect you to my profile and you will see a green button to send a private message.
