Hi there,

I use a RUTX11 and set it successful up with a Telekom SIM card. Had to change the APN, but now I can use internet in my caravan via 4G. So far, so good.

Now I want to connect to an external Wifi Network on a camp site. What are the correct steps to successful use an external Wifi in my camper with my RUTX11?

Thanx in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Peter

Hi,

You would need to go to the Wireless configuration page and next to your access points click on Scan", that will scan through available WiFi networks and will allow you to connect to one with your RUTX11, once you've done that, in the Network > Interfaces you can drag your Wireless interface to the top and it will be used as the main WAN interface to give out your other devices the internet, that you got from another access point available in your area.

For more information, please read this wiki page: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Wireless#Wireless_technology

Ok, thank you. I‘ll check this out at the weekend, as my camper van is not here for testing.

So it is always necessary to do this manually, I understand.
