Hi,

I am trying to use our RUTX11 in WIFI client mode.

The WIFI AP is a D-LINK and I can connect with a PC / tablets or a D-Link client.

I have configured the RUTX 11 in WIFI CLIENT mode and the connection is established with DLINK.
BUT when I connect PC to RUTX LAN, I cannot access other PC connected to main LAN (WIFI AP).
I tried with or without "relayd" without success.
What is the problem ? Firewall, bridge, .....

All addresses are static.
main local network (LAN) : 192.168.0.x
PC connected to the main local network: 192.168.0.21
WIFI AP 192.168.0.252
...
RUTX WIFI 192.168.0.3
RUTX LAN 192.168.0.2
PC connected to  LAN RUTX: 192.168.0.30

I can ping RUTX WIFI (192.168.0.3) from the PC connected to main local network but not PC (192.168.0.30).

Thanks

Hello,

I think you made a mistake in your IP assignment and expected two different private LAN's to ping each other:

You have manually set RUTX11 LAN IP to 192.168.0.2 and D-LINK to 192.168.0.252, they look like the same network but they are both private so they do not communicate with each other even when RUTX11 receives 192.168.0.3 leased address from D-LINK via WiFi. Basically right now you have 2 private networks that cannot communicate:

1. RUTX11 and PC connected to it (192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.30)

2 D-LINK, PC connected to it and RUTX11 (192.168.0.252, 192.168.0.21 and 192.168.0.3)

PC connected to the RUTX11 cannot see from where RUTX devices receive internet and cannot access LAN between D-LINK.

To avoid confusion I suggest setting RUTX11 LAN IP to 192.168.1.1 and then create static routes in both routers to access each other.

Regards.
