Question

Hello,
I have looked around and I am struggling to figure out some basic function.

Using a RUT240, I would like to block internet/web browsing except for a few site of my choosing, along with office 365 access.

I can't seem to figure this out. I thought I would have to:

Network > Firewall > Output (reject)
but this doesn't stop me from web browsing sites.

Any help would be great, thanks

Hello,

I believe you are talking about the Web Filter feature: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Web_Filter

It does allow you to block every single website and allow you to reach only few websites that you have included in the Whitelist or on the contrary you could use the Blacklist feature. Do not forget to read the Troubleshooting part of the guide I have linked above.

Hi,

I enabled site blocking, whitelist mode. It appears to not have blocked anything. I can still browse any site.

It looked very simple too. Might have I missed something?

hang on, web browsing has stopped. Perhaps takes a few minutes to kick in.
