Question

Hi all.

I planning to use RUT950 with single external antenna (for mobile) connected with cable. In my application I can use only  single cable, so can be connected only one antenna. And of course I want to get maximum possible efficiency,

At Amazon I see adapters like this

It maybe have sense to use such adapter and join Main antenna + Aux antenna to single cable? Will this work with RUT950 ?

If adapter like this can not be used it maybe somebody can advise me something similar to improve efficiency?

Hi,

I believe the antenna splitter should work as expected in this case, you will not get such good quality as two separate antennas would give - but this solution will be better than having one antenna without a splitter attached.

The only recommendation I would give is to use antennas that are meant for the use-case with routers or modems, but if there's no possibility to get one like that - another kind of antenna of the same material should be alright.
