I was traveling and needed a dual-sim router for work, so with a little of a time crunch, I bought the US version RUT950 J***** Model from Amazon, where I should have bought the RUT950 V***** Global Model or even H**** or U**** versions, turns out where I am B3 (1800 MHz) AND B20 (800 MHz) bands are the ones being used for LTE signal.

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT950_Supported_Frequency_Bands

Is there a way for me to switch the firmware to the global version? assuming the chip supports a wide range of bands but it was only enabled for the US?

if not, where I can order the Global version from, I can't seem to find it.

Thank you

Hi,

It would not be possible. You need to buy the whole product if you want a global version of the modem and there is no way around this.
