I have a RUT240 router and I want to SSH from the RUT240 to a connected device but I get this error: "No matching algo mac c->s"

I have read in a previous question that this could be because of an update in the SSH due to security improvements.

My firmware version is RUT2XX_R_00.01.13.3 and I would like to know if there is a way to solve this issue.

Hello,

Could you check what is the ssh version on the LAN device ? What is the LAN device you are trying to ssh ?

Thanks

The ssh version on the LAN device is "OpenSSH_7.2p2 Ubuntu-4ubuntu2.2, OpenSSL 1.0.2g  1 Mar 2016". The LAN device is a Linux embedded system.

Hello,

Rut240 and the other device is using different versions.

Rut240 is using  Dropbear v2019.78 and as you mentioned your device is using OpenSSH_7.2p2 Ubuntu-4ubuntu2.2. So its not gonna work in this condition.

But you can download opkg version of ssh on teltonika device or you can download Dropbear v2019.78 on the other device.

Any of the above could be done , what works for you.

Thanks

Ahmed
