Hello.

In the configuration of the modbus data sender we can see a parameter, period, to upload data every X time.

We need upload data when some modbus variable, trigger, has the value 1, rising edge 0-->1. In this way the PLC can send the data as event, and not periodically.

Do you know if using a script we can upload data to the cloud when some modbus variable change the value from 0 to 1?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I can't think of ways how to make it work only on triggering certain registers. I believe this would require some firmware changes from our side.

Or you could find and edit Modbus data sender feature yourself by using our SDK.

If you wish to make these changes with our help - please contact your sales manager and you should get enough details what it will cost and how much time this will require.

Hi, thanks for the response.

Using scripting, could we read modbus data every X time, and if some modbus variable has te value Y , create a json with the modbus variables and send it to the cloud? (Schneider Ecostruxure Machine Advisor)

Thanks in advance.

I believe yes, that could be possible.

Please refer to this wiki link, I scrolled down to the main part that should be useful for you:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Monitoring_via_Modbus#Modbus_read

This way you will be able to read Modbus values through CLI and use these commands in the script.
